Muscle Confusion on Every Exercise

The first two sets in the Power Pyramid protocol are all about enhancing muscular power with light weight and fast, explosive reps (8 and 5 reps, respectively). The next two sets are heavy (using your 6-rep-max) and taken to failure to build pure strength. From there, you’ll move to moderate weights for 12 fatiguing reps, followed immediately by a 15-rep drop set.
