Motivated to be a better mother for her three kids, she transformed her body and has kept the weight off for over a decade.
Patricia Millicent started her weight loss journey in 2013, at 35 years old, weighing 300 pounds. A dedicated mother of three sons, she knew she needed to be a healthy role model for her children, but she wasn’t living up to that ideal.
“My kids needed a healthy mother driving them to sports practices and rushing around, yet I couldn’t take care of myself,” she says. “I decided enough was enough.”
She started slowly with walks around her neighborhood and Wii Fit sessions at home, then gradually embraced a more rigorous fitness regimen that included gym memberships and eventually CrossFit. From there, she moved onto competitive races like 5Ks, duathlons, triathlons, adventure races, and even a Spartan Race.
In 2017, Patricia delved into heavy weightlifting and bodybuilding, focusing intensely on reshaping her body and inspiring others through her personal struggles with food. It was around this time that she found JimStoppani.com and JYM Supplement Science , which eventually led her to compete in figure competitions.
“When I discovered Jim, I was particularly excited about the science behind his supplements and workouts,” she says. “The wisdom Jim shares across his social media platforms has also made me more accountable and helped me become more disciplined.”
The hard work paid off. Through all of her activities, particularly the weight training, Patricia transformed her body and has kept the weight off for over 10 years. “I did this with no weight loss surgery and no steroids, though I do have excess skin from my former 300-pound body,” she says.
Now 46 years old, Patricia maintains a healthy lifestyle “through proper diet, exercise, discipline, faith, mindset, and the JYM Army to keep me accountable,” she says.
It’s not enough for Patricia to have just changed her own body. She wants to help as many other people as she can.
“I’m extremely blessed and thankful that I can now motivate, encourage, and inspire others daily through my story of losing my mother at 3 years old and using food to stuff my emotions and feelings,” she says. “Now, I share how you can use food as fuel and workouts as elevation, pushing outside your comfort zone into success!”
Patricia’s ultimate goal is to be a spokeswoman for weight loss. “I want to teach others that naturally, with the right army of resources, support, and accountability, you can do it! I also pray and hope to get all the excess skin around my entire body removed, as those battle scars still cause me a lot of emotional stress daily.”
Patricia's story is one of resilience and empowerment, rooted in overcoming personal hardships and using her experiences to uplift others. It’s also a story of gratitude.
“I’m so thankful for Jim Stoppani and JYM for keeping me going all these years,” she says. “Stiving to reach new goals is what keeps me going!”
