As a 50-year-old truck driver who weighed 252 pounds at 5’6”, Brandon Trainor knew it was time for a change.

And change is exactly what he did. Over the course of a year, he lost an impressive 81 pounds and transformed his body with proper workout programs and nutrition.

Here’s how Brandon went from struggling with his health to thriving with a leaner, stronger physique.

The Starting Point for Better Health

Brandon’s health was in serious jeopardy when he began his fitness journey.

“I was borderline diabetic, and I had high blood pressure and cholesterol,” he says. With a motivation to set a better example for his two young boys, ages 7 and 9, Brandon made the decision to change his lifestyle.

At first, being a truck driver presented its own challenges. “Driving for hours at a time made it tough to stay active,” he says.

However, Brandon made a commitment to himself. “I started by taking time at my stops to get out and walk,” he adds. Fortunately, since he’s a local truck driver, Brandon was able to set aside time each day to hit the gym and focus on his fitness.

The Transformation: Workouts + Dieting 101

Brandon’s transformation began in September 2022, when he started with Dr. Jim Stoppani’s Beginner to Advanced workout program. Later on, he transitioned to Super-Man Remastered and Super Shredded 8

“I lost weight consistently and dropped from 252 to 171 pounds by September 2023,” he says. With a goal to build lean muscle, Brandon then began running Project X and Muscle Booster SDS . It worked—he’s currently weighing in at a beefed up 184 pounds.

“My waist started at 40 inches, and now it’s down to 32 inches,” Brandon says. His biceps grew from 12 inches to 16+, a clear indication of the progress he’s made.

What’s been the key to Brandon’s success? Consistency, a balanced approach to nutrition, and Dr. Stoppani’s Dieting 101

“Dieting 101 really helped me figure out my nutrition goals,” Brandon says. “It taught me how to plan for weight loss or muscle gain and how to still incorporate some of the foods I love, because it’s all about balance.”

Where supplements are concerned, Brandon swears by two products in particular: Vita JYM and ZMA JYM , which he takes for overall health and recovery. “I feel great, and my family and friends have been absolutely amazed at my transformation,” he says.

The Next Phase of Brandon’s Fitness Journey

Brandon isn’t done yet. His goal now is to continue building lean muscle and achieve the biggest physique he can naturally.

“I’m going to keep doing this lean muscle build the way I’ve been until I get as big as possible,” he says. ““Swole is the goal, and size is the prize!”
