Gaining physical strength has helped this wife and mother get stronger in all areas.

About three months ago, I finally got fed up with being sick, tired, too thin, and frail. I weighed in at about 83 pounds, feeling horrible, and my depression and anxiety had taken their toll.

I started following Shortcut to Strength, and when that was finished, I started Strong in 8 on Jimstoppani.com in the last three months. I have gained 10 pounds and I'm completely off my medication for my depression, and my anxiety is in check.

Seeing how far I’ve already come has encouraged me to plan on starting the 2018 New Year's Challenge. I cannot wait to see what this new year has in store for me as I continue on my journey.

My nutrition is getting better, even though it can always use a little work. I take in extra carbs and protein. Being borderline hyperglycemic doesn’t help, though.

I have been using Pre JYM, Post JYM, and Pro JYM daily to help keep me moving and to help give me that extra boost in every way it can. Major lifestyle changes have had to occur for all of this to happen — I’m finally learning how to eat right, and very soon, I plan on quitting smoking.

If it weren't for my husband and my son, I would probably still be a lonely, depressed, frail girl. Those two are the light in my darkness when I need it the most.

Every day I get asked, “What have you done different?” I just tell people that I found the JYM Army and the JYM lifestyle, and they've changed my life forever. I haven’t felt this great about myself in over 20 years.

My advice to anyone – well, to everyone – is this: Keep it up and try something new. You never know how far the light shines in your eyes when you decide to better yourself.

This journey for me isn’t over yet. There are a lot of programs on JimStoppani.com that I haven’t finished yet. That is a goal of mine — to at least finish one new program a quarter!
