My goal at the start of my journey was to lose weight so that I could ditch the CPAP machine I wore for my sleep apnea and to be in the best shape for my family and future grandkids.
I went from weighing more than 250 pounds down to 177. I went from 38-inch waist pants to 32 in a little over a year and a half. I went from an almost 3XL shirt down to a large/medium. I've leaned up so much that veins are visible in my arms and even a few on my chest. For the first time in my 43 years, I can see my abs. I went from having trouble benching 225 pounds to putting up a new personal record of 325. I hit a personal record on deadlift of 402 pounds.
When I saw Jim Stoppani's Shortcut to Shred and videos on YouTube, I knew that I wanted to give it a try and I've gotten pretty amazing results from it. I started taking supplements but quickly realized that the ones I was taking would affect my ulcerative colitis. But when I watched Jim's videos and learned what supplement companies put in their products, I figured I'd give his products a try. I was reluctant at first because I thought they would mess with my stomach just like the other supplements I tried. But I've had absolutely NO issues with the JYM System , which is pretty freaking sweet!
My motivation for getting healthy was so that I can be there for my family, get off the CPAP machine and get my lifelong disease under control. But my biggest obstacle was my diet; I’ve always eaten whatever I wanted and just dealt with any flare-ups from my ulcerative colitis.
The key to overcoming that was finally getting serious with Shortcut to Shred and following the diet plan . I gave every workout 110% and stuck to the diet. As a result, I learned how to watch what I was eating and keep my stress low so that I can prevent those flare-ups.
The feedback from my family and friends who have seen my transformation has been completely humbling. My amazing wife has been my backbone throughout my journey and has always been there, from my worst day to my best day.
I plan to keep giving it 110% on every workout, eating right and trying more of Jim’s training programs.
