Those who use my cardioacceleration technique in their strength-training workouts love it. Cardioacceleration helps them burn more fat, improve their aerobic fitness, and even recover better between sets.
And most of these people hate doing cardio — that is, the traditional boring steady-state cardio where you grind away endlessly on a treadmill or Elliptical machine and end up seeing less-than-stellar results. I hate that kind of cardio, too!
But cardioacceleration is different. You're doing 30-60-second high-intensity intervals between sets of lifting exercises. Because it's sprinkled into your workout, by the time you're finished lifting weights you can't believe you've squeezed in 30+ minutes of cardio. But you have, and that high-intensity cardio is more effective for fat loss than steady-state at the end of the workout would have been. Better results in less time!
If you've never done cardioacceleration before, it will help to see what it looks like so that you know exactly how to incorporate it into your workouts.
In the video below, I demonstrate how to use the technique in the gym and offer some helpful tips for those just getting started.
Trust me, you won't miss the boring steady-state cardio after you get the hang of cardioacceleration!
